To answer some of your questions about the Brookline and Boston food truck locations:
Thank you to everyone who wants us back in Brookline–it means a lot. All the encouragement and support we’ve had over the past few months has helped us get through what has been a really difficult season with both Brookline’s new food truck program going into effect and Boston’s pilot program ending with year 2 about to begin.
With Brookline’s program, applications are in process and the town committee will choose trucks based on certain criteria. Trucks will be notified sometime in March if they will get a permit and the trucks will be allowed out on the street (in food truck designated locations) mid-end of April.
The good news about the Boston food truck program is that adjustments will be made starting April 1st. This means that the prime locations (BPL, Clarendon St, City Hall Plaza, and Financial [still not sure where this location will be]) will be chosen via a lottery system this and every year forward. This gives trucks that never had one of those locations as well as any new trucks a chance at a good spot. It also means once you’ve all gotten used to our locations, they will change every year.
So all this means that our schedule will be changing come April and we don’t know where our locations will be. As I find out I will let you all know.
