I’m sorry to say that I will not be moving forward with the pilot food truck program in Brookline. The one location I had requested is being opposed by residents of John Street and it seems that location will no longer be a cluster of 3 trucks. The economics development department would have given me the go-ahead for that location but with there being opposition, it makes it uncomfortable and surrounds it in negativity. Unfortunately, there is no other area in the pilot program that seems like a good fit for us.
I will miss the Brookline community, our customers, and fellow small business owners and I truly appreciate the warm welcome shown to us well over a year ago when we first rolled into town. We had a great time getting to know you!
I hope you will come visit us in Boston where we’ll be setting up in a new location in the Financial District on Tuesday day and Thursday & Friday afternoon/evenings (starting the first week in April). We’re keeping our Wednesday and Friday schedule the same in Back Bay/Copley and you can find us at the SoWa Open Market on Sundays.
Schedule for this week (Wed., March 14th-Sun., March 18th)
Wednesday: Stuart St/Back Bay 11:30-3pm then Clarendon St/Copley (corner of Boylston) 3:15pm-6:00ish
Thursday: Greenway at Chinatown Gate at the intersection of Surface Rd and Beach St (near South Station) 11-2:30
Friday: Clarendon St/Copley (corner of Boylston) 11:30-3pm
Sunday: SoWa Winter Market Food Truck Lot 11:30-3
And yes, we’ll have chocolate Guinness cake topped with our signature Madagascar vanilla buttercream all week long!
