The Cupcakory

that’s right, we’ve been sampling various versions of cocoa and want to know what you think. So far we’ve gotten good feedback saying what I love to hear, “it’s not too sweet”. That’s Cupcakory style. We’re sampling again today at the Loring Greenough House in Jamaica Plain, so if you’re around come on by and grab a cup and tell us what you think.

We’re also starting the holiday seasonals today with vanilla topped gingerbread. Next week we’ll have egg nog (cupcakes, of course) and peppermint chocolate to round out the daily seasonal collection. We’ll also have our usual selection of salted caramel, double vanilla and whatever else we think you might have a hankering for.

Hopefully this is a short work or school week for a lot of you. For us, too, but we’ll be out Tuesday in our usual location at BU/Morse from 11:30-3 and we’re back on Stuart Street down in Copley near the John Hancock on Wednesday from 11-3. If you’re traveling for the holiday and need a cupcake fix we’re here to help, and our boxed up cupcakes make a sweet gift for your host or hostess. Don’t forget we have vegan and gluten-free as well as the usuals plus Fall seasonals. Friday we’ll be at the Loring Greenough House from 11:30-3 and Saturday in Coolidge Corner 12-2.

Last week was a little crazy for us with a really large order, two special events plus some smaller deliveries. But, it’s a good thing! This week we’re back to our regular schedule which is:

Tuesday: BU/Morse Auditorium/602 Comm Ave. 11:30-3pm
Wednesday: Cambridge at Harvard Yard 12-4pm
Thursday: BU/Morse Auditorium/602 Comm Ave. 11:30-3pm
Friday: Heminway & Forsyth Streets at Northeastern 11:30-3pm
Saturday: Coolidge Corner, Brookline (outside Peet’s Coffee) 12-2pm
Saturday: Jamaica Plain at the Loring Greenough House, time still tbd

Delivery?! What?!
We’ve been asked by more and more people to deliver. This is something we’ve been thinking about and trying to figure out how best to handle it while still being able to do our regular locations–we think we’ve got a plan. This week we’re going to start offering delivery of one dozen or more now through the end of the year (post later today to give details on delivery areas and time frames).

New Flavors
We’re also testing two new Thanksgiving flavors today and if they turn out good you’ll see them on the menu this week! Back to the test kitchen where it smells heavenly–all I’m sayin’ is smells of the season: sugar and spice and everything nice!

The first one is on Wednesday evening on the Greenway at the Chinatown Park Gate. This location already hosts one food truck: BBQSmith and we’ll be joining them from 5-7 pm along with Grilled Cheese Nation. I have to tell you, I really like doing these—it’s a chance to see other food truck owners, say hi, and meet new people. The “Gate” is close to Dewey Square and South Station, so grab a cupcake or two or six on your way home and get your dinner, too!

The second event is on City Hall Plaza on Thursday at lunchtime where we’ll be joining the Peter Pan production folks for a kick-off party for their 360 degree production. This is open to the public so come on by and check it out. There are other food trucks on the plaza along Grilled Cheese Nation for your lunch and dessert!

The rest of our week will be the same: Tuesday at BU; Wednesday at Harvard; Friday at Northeastern on Heminway; Saturday at Coolidge Corner outside Peet’s Coffee 11-1 and then Jamaica Plain at the Loring Greenough House from 1:30-3:30.
