Apples, of course, and a ridiculously good crisp topping. We use local Macs, peeled and chopped into nice bite-sized chunks. Why we like Macs in our cake? Because they’re sweet and juicy and when we have left over apples delicious to eat just as they are.
We make a traditional crisp topping that we tested over and over with varying amounts of butter and sugar until we came out with what we think is the perfect ratio and has just the right crunch and flavor.
